A toolchain is a set of software/programming tools used by developers at each step of a project. The output from one tool is the input for the next tool in the sequence. For example, a toolchain would include tools to have code:

• Monitored

The “chain” means having this process and these tools more integrated, fluid and efficient. Often, all the way from an idea for a new feature, drawn from customer user stories or other sources, to code running and delivering value in production.
